Rayfield Baisley is a knowledgeable and caring dog behavior consultant. He generously volunteered his time and talents to help establish Canine Assisted Therapy, and is the content creator of the B.A.R.K. program we utilize today within our pack readers program. It was with his insightful evaluations of many of our therapy dog programs that we were always able to help ensure we had teams serving in a facility that is befitting of the dogs temperament and personality. He coached our therapy dog handlers on reading canine body language and ways to ensure the therapy experiences were always beneficial for the patients they are visiting, and for the dogs and handlers as well. Canine Assisted Therapy is fortunate to have worked so long with Rayfield and thanks him for being a fellow rescue advocate.

Ray is an awesome dog trainer, and I highly recommend his services for any age canine companion! He worked with our very active 7 month old puppy and asked me to write specific notes/vocabulary, then he had my son practice his training strategies. Rayfield was a pleasure to work with. Friendly, effective and professional. His love for dogs was evident at our first meeting. He is very knowledgeable. I was skeptical and thought online training was sufficient. I was wrong. Having Rayfield here in our home with our puppy Rae was a great decision. We highly recommend him.

Within 4 days of adopting Jack, we hired Ray for training based on the recommendation of a friend. Ray was fantastic, and wonderful with our boy. The way he trained (us & Jack) was easy to follow, and I loved seeing how much Jack enjoyed his “school days”. With the recent hurricane, I found myself saying “thank God for Ray” at least 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Not only is he very well behaved & socialized, but he was not experiencing stairs or an elevator for the 1st time during an emergency situation. We had to evacuate & ended up on the 4th floor. I saw as other humans struggled to get their pups on the elevator & they were very anxious when inside. Jack just walked in & sat right by my side. When the elevator was out of service & we were forced to use the stairs, although awkward & slow, Jack knew how to do them. I remember thinking that it was odd to even learn stairs & elevators, but he explained why and I will be forever thankful!

Watching Ray work with dogs is amazing. He “gets” them. I’ve worked with other dog trainers in the past and even though many have been good I have never experienced the connection Ray has with dogs. I definitely recommend him for anyone seeking a dog trainer in the Cape Coral area.

We have come along way with our 5 month old Black Lab, rethinking what we say and how we do things has been an ordeal but totally makes sense. Thank you for all your help!

We have a mini Australian shepherd. He was super reactive, started off with just a phone call and I felt the knowledge and connection was there. We did a round of training sessions that started in home. Worked a few sessions there and two out at the park. Tucker has made a massive shift, still has some work to do but that’s part of the process. Rayfield was super professional honest and genuinely cared about us and our dog. We just finished our sessions and will follow back up once we can practice a bit more. But all I can say is wow what an experience. If your on the fence with training I would highly recommend looking into it and giving align k9 the shot. He taught us mannerisms and basic things while also making it fun for both tucker and us.

Training with Align K9 was a really wonderful experience for both us and our dog. My dog is struggling with some anxiety and aggression and we were able to work on effective methods of working well together. Thank you!

Ray was our third trainer to help us raise a rambunctious, rescue lab-mix into a well-mannered pet. Our dog is now in her “testing teen” years, but I can see that practice and perseverance will provide a big pay-off. Ray explains the dog’s behavior and how the owner can get the desired results. A visit to our Vet this a.m. garnered unsolicited compliments on her training. So this isn’t a biased opinion. Hire the best first (Ray) and forget the rest.

I recommend Alpha Dog Academy almost daily to people who need assistance with their pets. Rayfield is a life saver … literally! When the public comes to me, they’re often at their wits end and ready to relinquish their dog to a shelter. After I calm them down and tell them that Rayfield is on his way, the real magic happens. He’s been able to put peace back into homes and keep families together. That is critical in our line of work. Rayfield jumps at the chance to help any animal, even if he’s not going to be compensated. He’s constantly helping animals in need. You can call him day or night and he’s there to help! His primary concern is to have a happy pet in a happy home. I’m thrilled Rayfield is out there in the trenches helping animals in our community and beyond. We (and they) need him!
